Spirit of the Earth Church Circles 2010
All of our Circles begin at 5:00pm, open to those of like mind, and meet at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Hopkinsville located at 301 South Main Street (unless otherwise noted) For questions about our Circles please email us.
July:
9th-11th: Shaman’s Spirit Festival– a spiritual renewal festival with special guests Chante, Dr. Drake Spaeth, and Shauna Aura at Spring Ledge Farms in Hopkinsville Kentucky
A weekend of intense workshops, ecstatic rituals, respite and healing for the mind and body
24th : Creating Prosperity and Abundance
31st : Lammas Celebration - Join us at Spring Ledge Farms in Hopkinsville Ken tucky for a Community gathering of learning, Games, Ritual, Feasting, and Bonfires! Celebration begins at 3pm. Email us for address to Spring Ledge Farms. This event is by donation and open to all.
August:
7th: Moon Myth and Magic: New Moon
Bring your own New Moon traditions to share with others.
21st: Moon Myth and Magic: Full Moon
Bring your Full Moon traditions to share and a small crystal for the Ritual.
September:
4th: Knitting Workshop with special guest Lesley Montgomery
This knitting workshop will introduce the participants to knitted cast on, garter stitch, st2tog/yarn over to create a buttonhole, binding off and finishing the project, which will be a buttoned wrist cuff. The knitted bracelet will be completed during the workshop, and attendees can sew the buttons onto the cuffs afterward.
Please bring the following items to class:
A ball of knitting worsted wool yarn in your favorite color – For vegans in the crowd, wool is pliable and easier to knit.
I recommend knitting needles between size 5 and size 8, preferably in plastic, which is easier to knit with than metal.
I will show the class how to pick up a dropped stitch and how to unravel a messed up row, in the event this situation occurs.
18th: Fall Equinox Celebration
Bring a symbol of the Equinox to place on the Ritual Altar, a votive candle, an offering for the RItual, and a potluck dish to share. This celebration is free and open to all. Location TBA...
October:
2nd: No regular circles: Spirit of the Earth will be attending the Nashville Pagan Pride Day stop by our booth and visit us!
22nd - 24th: Samhain Festival at Spring Ledge Farms with special guest: Selena Fox of Circle Sanctuary
